Our Cartier Santos-Dumont straps are made with a metal adapter within, ensuring a tight integrated fit with the Santos-Dumont watches. However, this also means that the strap is not very pliable, and it might be a little tricky to install the strap onto the watch. Here's our quick guide on installing your strap:
- Instead of inserting the spring bar directly into the drilled holes on the watch case, anchor one side of the spring bar against the outer portion of the lugs.
- Compress the spring bar, and position the strap between the lugs of the watch.
- Move the strap inwards, closer to the drilled holes, until you hear / feel the spring bar sitting within the holes.
- And finally, always remember to give the strap a good tuck to ensure that it is locked in place before putting it on your wrist.
